Stand Up and Fight
Here at Stand Up Records,
the music is fast, and the times are good and lazy. This means nothing
but fun, and lots of hardcore. I decided to make a record label because
I have much unresolved anger, unresolved music and a generally directionless
life. I don't think I'm alone in this either, so hopefully, with gods
good will, we'll be able to reach out and touch some people. The problem
that I can see is that there are already thousands of d.i.y punk and hardcore
labels out there, so distinguishing this one from the stereotypical pool
is going to be hard! ahh well, this will all make for something interesting
to do, as well as bringing my friends wonderful music to a generation
of lazy layabout kids, who'd rather sit at home with their robots and
comfy chairs, than go to gigs and have good, honest, clean fun.

- Merry new year and all that! I've decided to make a conscious
effort to separate the two sites (nyhc and this) into one
for gigs, and one for records. So, news on records eh? errrmm,
well, toyshelf recording is going well, and Jims 7" is
being ordered soon as I get my lone through. Thats it really.

so not much to tell. that'll be more about gigs, this'll be

- Hi there. So OGD are out of the picture for a while. Be
patient. I like this 'toyshelf' band that played the other
day, they can come back for sure. Also, PWF tonight, and on
friday, so thats nice. Next one is down there, use your eyes.
one pound in, less of the drinking cans in the venue please!
otherwise it would be free entry.

- For updates, see left center. (oh, and kates gig with eiger
etc... has been postponed for now, go to the basement on the
same night for some other kick ass bands)

- Don't let the date fool you, i've updated a lot recently!
Gigs are fantastic, which is why more are going to happen.
Seriously though, if you want to play, just ask. It doesn't
matter how good you are, music should be there for everybody.
You might even get paid! (although hopefully we'll be doing
free entry gigs soon.)
